Are you open to the public?

Yes, we are open to the public!

Do you have a minimum order value?

No, there is no minimum order value – all orders are important to us!

Do you offer advice before I buy?

Of course! Ordering wholesale flowers from a website is hard and we would always advise getting in touch with us before you start. Our expert team can advise on flowers in season, quantities to buy, colour combinations etc. There’s no charge – it’s all part of the service! Call us on 01342 892743 or email us at sales@flowersforflorists.co.uk.

How do I order flowers from you?

If you know what you are looking for please just pop into the shop, call us on 01342 892743 or email your order to sales@flowersforflorists.co.uk. At the moment we don’t offer ordering directly from our website – this is a work in progress!

If you don’t know what you are looking for please email or call in for advice. If you prefer we can give you a “view-only” login to our webshop to browse flowers and prices. We also publish a bi-weekly price list showing the price of flowers we have in stock or have had in recently which can be helpful for budgeting purposes – please email us if you would like a copy.

Please note that as we buy the majority of our flowers in the international flower auctions, pricing can fluctuate depending on demand and supply on the day. Please treat all prices as indicative until you receive our invoice.

If you don’t have an account with us we will require a deposit before treating your order as firm, and will require that the balance is settled before your order is collected or dispatched.

How much notice do I need to give you when ordering flowers?

We recommend that you give us at least four business days notice when ordering flowers. This will allow us to review your order in case some of your chosen flowers are out of season or hard to buy and will give us time to source the best flowers for you. However, if you are planning a big event we recommend chatting to us as early as possible to ensure that we have a good idea of what you are looking for.

How fresh are your flowers?

We are buying and stocking our cold room regularly during the week. Flowers bought in the flower auctions will typically arrive with us within 24 hours of them being picked. Our computer monitored cold room is held at a constant temperature in order to ensure freshness. Different flowers have different life expectancy and our staff review stock in the cold room at least twice daily to make sure the flowers are in the best condition. At the end of every “flower-week” (Monday), the cold room is refreshed and cleaned. All buckets are washed and refilled in preparation for our first delivery early on Tuesday morning from the Monday auctions.

How much do you charge for delivery?

We offer free local delivery (7.5 Google Maps miles from the shop) on orders over £75 ex VAT. For orders further afield we reserve the right to charge for delivery and depending on distance we may use a courier. When we use a courier we will simply pass on their charges, which vary by postcode and required delivery time. For budgeting purposes we suggest you work to a £10 ex VAT charge for courier deliveries, though obviously this might change if you live in the Outer Hebrides! Please note courier deliveries will be next day rather than same day deliveries.

How do I open an account with you?

You don’t need to have an account to buy from us, however if you plan on being a regular customer we would recommend that you do. The benefit of having an account with us is that it allows us to track your spending and offer discount. Discounts are based on volume and frequency of spend. As a non-trade customer you would need to be spending more than £100 per month to qualify for a discount. The more you spend, the bigger the discount!

To set up an account we need the following information:
Name for the account, address, phone numbers, email address, name of main contact and names of anyone else authorised to use the account.
Type of Account: Personal/Homeworker/Flower Shop/Hotel/Pub/etc.
If appropriate, we also need website address, company ID and VAT no.

How do I pay for my flowers or sundries?

We accept payment by cash, card or BACS. We require a 30% deposit on flower orders from non-account customers and balances need to be settled in full before collection or dispatch.

Can I have a credit account so that I can pay you when my customer pays me?

Credit accounts are offered on a discretionary and case by case basis. They are subject to review of trading history, 3rd party credit checks and references.
